On 9/11/01, Lucky Bunny was born. It’s also the day Americans willingly gave up their freedoms in exchange for a false sense of security. That day, I created a silkscreen called, ‘Hit Where It Hurts,’ because the economy was sure to tank. Here’s a reworked version I created last year for the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. Never forget.

CREATIVITY KEYS 6-10

Creativity Key #6: Solitude. One of the most important keys & increasingly difficult these days. Alone time is essential to hear thoughts.

Creativity Key #7: Persistence. Keep going while realizing the diff between effort & struggle. Effort is good & w/out tension. Struggle=bad.

Creativity Key #8: Faith. Lots of ideas are out there, creating an environment of belief and expectation w/o stressing helps reel them in.

Creativity Key #9: Sex. We access creative powers through what we feel, one way is through sexuality. Sex is energy at play - creativity.

Creativity Key #10: Begin. Sing despite having a song, drive with no set destination. Embrace the unknown and let imagination guide you.

Italian rock art masters, MALLEUS, donated their time and skills to make this amazing poster for a charity art show/auction I’m in with them and many others on September 21st in Los Angeles. Great job guys!

CREATIVITY KEYS 1-5

The most common question I’m asked when public speaking is, “How do you get your ideas?” So I’ve decided to address that question and list creativity keys/tips on Twitter @Lucky_Bunny. All the keys listed are from personal experience through years of art making, designing, writing stand-up comedy, etc. In the future, I’ll go into greater detail and elaborate on them but for now, it’s best to think and meditate on the keys so they’ll be absorbed by your subconscious and become second nature. Currently my creativity list is at 63 keys and growing, I hope you find them useful!

Here’s a recap from this week…

Creativity Key #1: Quantity breeds quality. Generate lots of ideas without out judging. The more darts thrown, the greater chance of a bullseye.

Creativity Key #2: Caffeine & other stimulants. Microsoft provides unlimited free cola to employees. Warhol was addicted to amphetamine.

Creativity Key #3: Open-mindedness. Being receptive to different ideas and new experiences and changing the way you think about them.

Creativity Key #4: Simplify. When I embark on a new project, organizing & decluttering is a must. Muses like a clean, inviting workspace.

Creativity Key #5: Relaxation. The biggest key to creativity & health. Eliminate stress & tapping the collective unconscious becomes easier.

Gas Mask Bunny Tee PROCESS PART 3: Applying different colored ink before each pull allowed me to make each shirt unique. I’d never print a large batch in this manner because the ink eventually mixes together, creating grayish-brown while wasting lots of ink. My original idea was to print the Gas Mask Bunny graphic in black so it would appear subtle on a black shirt. But after trying it, I wasn’t satisfied with the result, so I switched to gray ink allowing the Gas Mask Bunny to pop.

Only 6 total shirts were printed, some for a giveaway that PETA2 is doing to coincide with a project we did together. Any extras will be extremely rare and for sale in my web store. Stay tuned for info about the PETA2 contest and hopefully you’ll land yourself a limited edition, unique tee!
